The robotic high-pressure washing cell is an extremely effective metal washing solution capable of spraying water at the power of over 300 bar. The system was created for cleaning cast iron parts of the automotive sector, but can be used in the most varied sectors, in total adaptability.
This system is also the ideal solution from an environmental point of view: indeed, the washing takes place only with water, without the addition of chemicals of any kind, thanks to the pressure, able not only to wash the metal parts, but to remove also the burrs- a task which so far has been performed manually by the operator- thus not having any negative effect on the environment. The robotic cell is able to work 24 hours a day: the robot, in and out, manages the pieces, “attacked” with nozzles capable of draining water to over 300 Bar. If required, the water pressure can even cut metals. The water pressure, combined with the precision of the robot is now a result of a new concept of flexibility, which means that you can “clean” the most varied types of items, switching from one part to another very quickly.
The structure of the plant is completely made of thick stainless steel to comfortably hold weights and pressures. The piece storage system allows the operator to load the pieces and then have sufficient autonomy to perform other operations, while a robot automatically picks up the piece and inserts it inside the working cell every 30 seconds.
Inside the robot cell there are five nozzles made of a special material, with a different geometric shape. The robot, with a previously programmed logic, chooses whether to place the piece on the special nozzle to be treated, or to hold it firmly, delaying treatment in order to position it later on the specific nozzle with maximum precision regarding the point to be deburred. At this moment the high pressure comes into play: the robot moves slowly and the powerful jet removes any burrs or chips left over after machining. The cycle is very short and thanks to the substantial “speed” of treatment, this allows a production of about 120 pieces per hour.
The washing cell represents the combination of power, precision and speed, ensuring complex but above all effective operations, without any metal swarfs inside the machined pieces.
