BP Tronic is the new and only low-pressure casting press with fully electric technology, which applies a completely innovative and revolutionary concept and method.
It is equipped with a vertical screw clamping unit with direct-drive transmission, operated by a torque motor, plus four horizontal axes arranged at 90° moved by screws and nuts, also with direct-drive transmission and torque motors.
Thanks to its unique features, the press offers numerous advantages over traditional technology. The most important is the ability to individually control the start and stop of each horizontal axis. For example, we can set their start sequence according to pre-set delays (time criterion) or according to pre-set measurements (distance criterion). The final position of the horizontal axes can also be set in two ways: simultaneous arrival of all four axes (axis interpolation) or independent arrival, meaning the first axis to start is the first to arrive. The advantages over state-of-the-art technology are significant, particularly the ability to independently adjust each axis in terms of speed, position, and possible arrival sequence, as well as the repeatability of positioning guaranteed by a CNC controller, even with temperature variations, a common variable in the foundry industry. A wide range of functions can be achieved and monitored, as the BP Tronic press is equipped with a CNC controller, as well as sensor technology and specific algorithms to perform process control during the working phase.
